2/ you hadn’t downloaded the charts. You clearly hadn’t read any of my messages. I was literally hanging around in Acton waiting for your reply and wondering whether to bring my MacBook or not, whether to chase you another time. Title
Regular Pre-Gig Check-ins and Clear Deadlines Description This development is partially covered by the Two-Stage SubEngagements development, but focuses on the follow-up processes. Set deadlines for musicians to study the materials and provide feedback or questions well in advance of the performance date. This will allow any potential issues to be flagged early. Establish a clear timeline for when all materials need to be reviewed. For example, 72 hours before the gig, send out a standard message requesting musicians to confirm that they've studied the set list, reviewed charts, and are ready. If they are unsure about any material, they should raise their questions at least 48 hours before the performance. This would give ample time to resolve any issues. Notes Comments This would prevent last-minute issues and give everyone sufficient time to prepare. By setting clear expectations, musicians will be less likely to ignore preparation or leave things to the last minute.
