2/ you hadn’t downloaded the charts. You clearly hadn’t read any of my messages. I was literally hanging around in Acton waiting for your reply and wondering whether to bring my MacBook or not, whether to chase you another time.
When I don’t hear back, and I think “should I send him another message? Should I chase? Am I harassing? Am I a nuisance?” I just needed something off you. Anything. Smoke signals. A little communication before the day. Not suddenly faced with this problem on the day and having to sort it out on the fly.
This was after 2 heads up (via e-mail + WhatsApp group message) about me not printing charts. When I messaged you on the morning, you took nearly an hour to reply - by which point, it was too late and I was already on my way.

Description
The concept of Online Rehearsals was first pioneered for the event Diáspora @ RAF Wynton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (15/07/2022) and was found to be an effective tool for preparation. Moving forward, it is recommended to offer this option, especially for situations where in-person rehearsals are either not possible or are too costly to arrange.
Even when physically playing through in a shared space isn’t feasible, simply having a conference call via platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams can help the band discuss the performance structures, clarify musical arrangements, and ensure all musicians are prepared for the gig.
This approach could have potentially helped prevent the issues faced at Diáspora @ Imperial College, London (Kensington) on 11/07/2023, where miscommunication and lack of preparation led to significant challenges.

Notes Comments
This will also mitigate the cost implications for hiring studios. It will be easier to "sell" to the musicians as transport costs aren't an issue. However, it will rely on musicians having the technical setup to have access to Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams. Many do, but alternative options such as meeting in person should be offered to those who don't.
