Hi CA, can you let me know if this is possible Title
Live Time Description Red & Black Music has adopted a policy to allocate a "Live Time" performance window rather than apportioning performances by the number and length of sets. This policy designates a 3-hour performance window with a maximum of 120 minutes of music, allowing clients flexibility to organize sets and intervals as they wish, provided they remain within the designated time frame. The goal is to avoid additional charges when clients adjust set structures, while maintaining clarity and ensuring musicians are fairly compensated for their "live" presence, including intervals. If performances exceed the agreed window, additional costs are applied. Notes Comments The West Dean Festival event on 11/08/2018 highlighted a misunderstanding regarding the application of the "Live Time" policy. A 2pm set was interpreted as an additional performance rather than an adjustment or extension of the existing 2-5pm window. While the additional cost for the earlier set was rightly quoted to the client, the musicians received double pay due to confusion over the time allocation framework. This issue underscores the importance of clear communication and consistency in applying the policy to both clients and musicians. Reinforcing the "Live Time" concept ensures that the process is streamlined, boundaries are maintained, and clients are provided maximum flexibility without unnecessary cost fluctuations. Positive Improvements: Clarity: The 3-hour performance window simplifies the booking process and prevents ambiguities regarding set arrangements or additional costs. Flexibility: Clients retain full control over how the allocated time is used for sets and intervals within the agreed timeframe. Fairness: Musicians are compensated for their full involvement during the contracted period, including intervals, without overcomplicating cost calculations.
